The world changed in 2020, as we well know. In the Covid-19 wasteland, finding work-life balance is even more challenging given that so many are working from home, and there are fewer people in workplace environments such as offices, showrooms, conferences and live events.
At home there are many of us who soon realised the limitations of our smartphone. We found we were flipping the phone to a horizontal format because the screen simply was not big enough.
Many of us have found the solution in a tablet as a mobile device – they’re useful for home-educating kids, for watching shows on a second screen while you work, for conducting video calls while you’re doing other things, and more. A tablet is also less cumbersome and conspicuous than a laptop. Portability and practicality weigh heavily in its favour.
The advantages of owning a tablet, or something more than a smartphone are stacking up. There is a growing compelling case for investing in a tablet as we are about to see.
To demonstrate our point we’ve selected five recent additions to Cool Stuf’s product line-up – three of which are tablets, the other two are from the new Samsung Note 20 offering.
The inclusion of the Note 20 in this article is where the line crosses between smartphone, tablet and laptop. In its sales pitch for the Note 20 Ultra, Samsung proclaims:
“Forget work-life balance, Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G gives you work-life flow. Hold the power of a computer in the palm of your hand and scribble with the S Pen that feels just like pen-to-paper.”
If you feel your smartphone should be a whole lot smarter, then your answer is probably here. Read on!

But, with the next-level power of the Galaxy Note20 and Note20 Ultra, there is a lot more you can do. The S Pen even acts as a remote for controlling your camera with gestures – playing music and media and flipping through presentation slides.
